Confidence hacks – Fake it, until you make it
People respond to confidence. You want to buy things from a confident person. You want tech support from a confident person. No matter where you look people are wanting confidence. What if you don't have the experience to provide that confidence? Fake it.
There are things you can do to improve your perceived confidence level without necessarily requiring the experience. I am going to try to occasionally list one or two to help you out.
This is one of my favorites. This might not always work in person, due to the situation but on the phone it is something that always helps me whenever I need a boost.
Raise your eyebrows while talking. When you are confused your furrow your eyebrows. You raise them when you have had a realization, an epiphany or you are excited that you know something. By raising your eyebrows you can fool yourself into thinking that you have the confidence that you need to close the deal. Whatever it is.
